An order with ModestRise runs in six steps. Each one has a timeline and something you approve before we move on.
Timelines at a glance
- Sample: 7–10 days once the specification is confirmed
- Pattern development for an OEM design: 2–4 weeks before the sample ships
- Bulk production: 25–40 days from sample approval for standard styles
- Freight: 7–12 days by air, 25–40 days by sea, depending on destination
- Reorder on an archived specification: 10–15 days
Hand embroidery and hand-set crystal take longer, so book embellished work 8–10 weeks ahead of Ramadan and Eid. Your quotation confirms the dates for your style.
1. Enquiry and costing
Send a tech pack, a reference garment, or photos with the measurements you want. If you don’t have a tech pack, choose from our 300+ existing styles and change the fabric, colour, length, sleeve, neckline or trim; that is the fastest route to a first sample. We reply with fabric options, indicative FOB and DDP pricing, and a proposed production slot.
2. Sampling
The sample takes 7–10 days once the specification is confirmed. For OEM designs we build the pattern first, which takes 2–4 weeks. Solid dyeing to Pantone is standard, with a lab dip returned in 5–7 days. Opacity is tested in a daylight light box, not judged from a swatch. Sample fees are credited against your production order, and the pattern stays yours even if you don’t go ahead.
3. Confirmation and deposit
Quantity, size breakdown, colours, labelling and price are fixed in a written agreement. Woven label, care label, hangtag, printed polybag, tissue wrap and gift box can all carry your branding only. A 30% deposit starts production and locks the price; we don’t re-open costing mid-order because a fabric moved.
4. Production and inline QC
Standard styles take 25–40 days from sample approval. You approve a physical shade band before we cut, and each style is cut from a single dye lot. A documented three-point inline check runs at 30% completion, and we keep a photo record at every handover: cutting, 30% check, final inspection and packing.
5. Final inspection and shipping
An AQL 2.5 inspection is carried out and photographed, and the results reach you before the 70% balance is due. If a lot fails, you choose rework at our cost or a credit; we never ship a failed lot or ask for balance payment on one. Goods then ship DDP door to door with duty included, or FOB/CIF with your own forwarder, with the full document set: commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin and the relevant test reports.
6. Reorder
Your pattern, specification, approved sample and shade band stay on file. A reorder on the same specification runs 10–15 days and is matched against the physical reference, so season two looks like season one. Abayas, hijabs, prayer sets and co-ords can run in the same production window and ship in one consolidated carton plan.
What helps us quote accurately
- Style or product type: abaya, hijab, burkini, activewear, prayer dress and so on
- Order quantity per style and colour (the minimum is 50)
- Preferred fabric or material
- Branding needs: custom label, hangtag, packaging
- Target price range and the market you sell into
A reference photo or sketch is faster than a written description.
Payment
30% deposit to start production and 70% before shipment, once your goods are finished, inspected and photographed. Bank transfer is standard; PayPal and card are accepted for sample and development fees.
